According to the company:
“We are a holding company with a culture that combines the entrepreneurial spirit and financial discipline.
Our purpose is to build great companies while providing opportunities for our people to grow, make a positive contribution to society and deliver superior returns to our investors.
Great companies perform to the highest standards. They are distinctive in what they do, act in a responsible way and seek out renewal and change.
To achieve this, we remain true to our values of:
- Ambition & Humility: We set high aspirations but remain grounded.
- Curiosity & Focus: We seek new ideas while prioritising what matters.
- Patience & Drive: We take a long-term perspective but are relentless in getting things done.
- Courage & Responsibility: We take bold actions while being mindful of their consequences.
Our founder, Senatore Giovanni Agnelli, who started our journey in 1899, left us a timeless vision:
“Above all, we must always look to the future, foresee the future of new inventions, be unafraid of the new, and delete from our vocabulary the word ‘impossible’.”
Company Sustainable Activity
According to the company
“While EXOR is committed to sustainability and supports the implementation of policies aiming at the respect and protection of the environment through its influence with its operating companies, EXOR as a holding company is not directly involved in the day-to-day operations of the companies in which it invests. Based on its main activities which are financial in nature, its direct environmental impact is considered negligible
EXOR commits to the respect and protection of the environment, however due to the nature of its activities, the impacts of its operation on the surrounding environment are considered negligible. EXOR fully supports its operating companies in the effort that sees them involved in producing regular, carefully compiled sustainability reports, according to international best practices.
Exor has a defined governance approach for all of its companies. This includes playing an active role on all its boards, reducing the size of its boards and ensuring it appoints directors who will provide a diverse set of views. Exor has a strong interest in education and is closely associated with the Agnelli Foundation, a charity devoted to educational issues, based in Turin. The Foundation, in turn, works closely with many of Exor’s companies. Most of our companies have well-established environmental policies, and some are leaders in their sectors. We will continue to hone our approach to ESG over the coming years and recognize the responsibility that we have to do this.”
